I say under. He's going to miss Subban a lot.

    Under but barely, at 38.

Over... I think he will get more points on the PP thanks to Weber actually hitting the net... the only offensive area where he has the edge on Subban, and the PP will be better under Muller... that will negate the points he will lose at 5-on-5, so similar production to last year, around 44-46 points

I'm with you Rufio. A tad under 40 for the soon-to-be 38 year old. Streit, Gonchar and Timonen all saw a steep decline when they hovered around or hit 38. I'm not saying it's a sure bet but I can't see how he would be part of so many points (unless most are secondary assists) considering that he has slowed down tremendously in the past years and he will not have his main partner-in-crime in Subban come 2016-17.

As a Habs fan, I sure hope he has 1 last big season in him, but the realist in me thinks not...

A lot depends on Beaulieu who I think is a better fit as a skater next to Weber at even strength.

Very true in regards to Beaulieu. I wouldn't be surprised if Beaulieu actually ate some of Markov's PP time as well. Weber/Beaulieu on the first, Markov/Petry on the second.

I would think it will be Markov/Weber on PP1 but I was just thinking at even strength I like the idea of pairing a speedster with a slower guy.

Barberio on waivers. Doesn't necessarily mean he'll be down for long. Sometimes teams just make him clear so they have the option to demote him quickly if needed. But it improves the chances of Redmond and/or Sergachev to start the season with the main roster.

Was Wiz picked up by anyone?

I'm concerned Wiz is not actually fit to play hockey in the NHL.

I don't see any teams claiming Barberio, so the Habs are probably not very nervous about demoting him.
Redmond has outplayed him anyways during camp and it balances the d-corps (4 lefties and 4 righties).
I still think that Sergachev will return to junior after 9 games though.

Yep, if there's one area where Markov is still very effective, it is the PP.
He'll stay on PP1 and feed Weber on one side and Galchenyuk on the other for one-timers.

You're probably right but he would be a good addition to a lot of teams, even as a 7th dman if the team recently missed out on Quincey/Seidenberg.
