Nice effort last night. I think Primeau starts against the Rangers in the back to back coming up.

This was a typical game to break a team out of a slump. It wasn't without a couple late hiccups to raise doubt, but at the end the team pulled through.

That was very nice to see. If ever there was any doubt about Julien still having the room, it certainly looked like the team wanted to send a message about that last night. Well done Habs. I don't want to see Claude lose his job as he seems like a good dude.

Julien has done a good job overall. He's not perfect but I don't have a problem keeping him. Firing him is the lazy solution and in all likelihood the replacement won't be an upgrade. He has done well considering the players he has to work with. Bergevin hasn't exactly given him a roster full of top-quality weapons.

Absolutely. Julien has done a very good job adjusting to the new NHL - much better than most of his generation. Let’s hope they can now string some wins together and get back into the playoff conversation.

Not too often the Habs have no game on a Saturday...

At least it's coming off a Friday win!

Hudon is back down in the minors for now. There's a few days off so not surprising.

Agreed. No reason to mortgage the future right now.

Play that way all game Tatar. It’s the complete brain farts that end up costing them that kill me. Weber losing the (very brief) puck battle and neither Chairot or Danault pick up the guy in front. That’s f’ing beer league stuff. And they can’t recover. That’s the frustrating thing. One stupid play and it’s in the net and they can only muster one goal in response. The margins for error are so razor thin for this team some nights. And then Lehkonen trying to pick the top corner on a clear three on one short handed - that’s not even beer league - that’s drop in hockey. Pass the damn thing. At least shoot it into his pads and give Chairot a shot at the rebound. You’re not going to beat an NHL goalie with that shot, particularly you Arturi, 99 times out of 100. And Gallagher - the timing and location of that cross check were about right...for a 13 year old. My god man you’re a professional hockey player. At least you’re supposed to be. That’s two points they had to have and they got none. I’ve had it with Bergevins complete inaction. These up and down AHL moves aren’t cutting it. Something needs to change. When you’re a Mete and Drouin injury away from free fall your team isn’t good enough. I wonder if he knows his ass if done if they fail to make the playoffs. His job is and should be on the line and he’s sitting and watching it slip away. They have the picks, they have the prospects, they have the cap space. And with every loss to the Wings and Devils of the league the playoffs get increasingly unlikely. I don’t understand how he just sits there.

With all that cap space what are the Habs waiting for? Is the ownership really that damn cheap? Our ownership and management really blow
