I honestly don't think Peca and Hudon have any trade value. The rest might each fetch a draft pick. My concern is they don't do anything while they're still way out thinking they'll somehow get in on the last day.

The Habs seem to be really pushing the message that this team is pushing for the playoffs once the injured guys return. Of course they have to try, but don't expect anyone to be moved prior to the deadline barring a setback this week. I'm expecting a mad dash at the end and the team falls a few points short.

I'd like some input from the Habs fans about Ben Chiarot.

It seems like his increased ice time has led to this surge in production. He seems to be their #3 defenseman, and that should mean continued solid production in the physical categories. Do you guys expect his scoring to dip? I've grabbed him off the wire, as he seems like the best D that was out there, and he's scoring about as well as some more offensive-oriented D this year.

He’s on the top pair with Weber but I don’t think he’s getting any PP time. He’s a fair to middling option for scoring with decent peripherals - certainly worth it in deep leagues. His shooting percentage is a little high but everything else is in line. The big minutes appear to be helping him out.

He's a good multi-cat option but I'm quite certain his offensive production has peaked. If the Habs were to take a step forward as a team it would be in part due to a guy like Mete breaking out, which would then cut into Chiarot's opportunities.

Thanks guys. He seems like my best bet off the wire as an insurance player. I'm thinking about letting him replace Lindholm in my regular lineup, but for now, he's just insurance in case of multiple injuries. League is super deep - 12 teams, but starting 22 and rostering 75 including prospects.

Lots of bad on this team but I really like the combo of Suzuki, Domi and Danault down the middle for the future. Kotkaniemi and Poehling might become permanent wingers.
