Don't wait until the last second of the game to beat any team, let alone the Ottawa Senators. The Habs don't look good. Their best offensive players are not dynamic, nor playing with confidence. They need a real shakeup soon, or this season will sputter.

Gallagher clearly caused goalie interference when he skated through and pushed Murray's leg, causing Murray to slide to his left. Murray for some reason decided to spin around, I assume to get back into position. The goalie interference is not in question (unless you're a biased Habs fan), the question comes as to whether Murray had time AFTER the interference to reset for the oncoming shot.

To me, the play should have been blown dead and Gallagher should have got a minor penalty for the goalie interference and then the play after wouldnt have mattered.

The blue paint belongs to the goalie. Full stop. You can't touch him in there and you sure can't interfere with his ability to stop the puck IN THE BLUE PAINT, which is exactly where Gallagher was.
Most of the time I enjoy your fairly lucid posts Axeman. But every now and then you go and say something like this and I start to worry that you are in serious cognitive decline.

hahaha! I am far from in decline, but you're bias is once again showing. No decline there. Thanks for backing that part of my statement up.

Rule 69.2 and 69.3 say I am not in decline.

This tweet from Dreger also backs up my statement.

Agreed. It felt like a change was coming. Further explanation on disallowed goal. Both refs, 4 hockey ops people, 1 ex- official unanimously agreed Gallagher went into the crease on his own...between Murray and Zaitsev. His contact spun Murray who didn’t have time to reset.

I wish roos would post a poll about how badly the refs and league pooched this call and have ****ed the Habs over in general this year.

The only legitimate "the refs are against us" talk is in regards to the Raptors.

I don't get the argument of how the refs blew it by disallowing the goal. The refs blew it by not calling a full on penalty on Gallagher. Watching this over and over, MTL got lucky with the call that was made.

Let's be clear here, no one has a clue what goaltender interference is in terms of both penalties and whether it disallows a goal or not. In the Oilers - Flames game a few nights ago, Tkachuk jumps into Koskinen and pushes him right into the net, Mangiapane grabs the puck and scores and this counts. https://www.nhl.com/video/mangiapane...9538/c-7586356

I am pretty sure the NHL just spins their "Wheel of Suspension" to determine if a goal call is changed. If it's an even number, the call on the ice stands, if the wheel ends on an odd number, the call is reversed.

Nurse pushed Tkachuk into the net. Don't let anger cloud your vision on that one. Pretty easy choice as to why Tkachuk was in the crease.

Only line-up change for the evening is Evans out and Lehkonen back in. D pairs the same and Price to start.

Dominate for 30 minutes, get dominated for 30 minutes.

    Sums it up.

Also, we must hold the record for puck over glass penalties and specifically Weber. I feel like he has at least 2 or 3 this year, just him, but holy cow do I feel like I've seen it a lot with this team.

So frustrating... if they don't even make the playoffs... OOF!
Just catch fire in the playoffs and the regular season doesn't matter. I still believe!
Realistically the division is weak and I don't believe in any Canadian team this year when they meet real competition.
