I'm glad they kept the term shorter. That's what normally gets teams in trouble, especially with their secondary players.

Also, Armia earns 2.6x more than Labanc

Solid deal for Armia, also happy they kept it short. Can see a future where he evolves as a solid supporting scorer with size and grit but I can also see one where he plays mostly on the fourth line as a replacement-level player.

And yeah, comparing any deal to Labanc's is going to make both deals looks silly!

Lekhonen now signs for 2 years at 2.4M$ AAV

Good deal for the Habs even though I would've liked it longer.

Sure, and I don't mind the two year term, I only feel like Lekhonen's impact is understated and he could've been had at great value over a four or five year deal. But maybe Lekhonen didn't want that or the club isn't as keen on him as I am. Which is all fair.

I'm sure Lehkonen wants a shorter term because he likely sees himself as being able to produce more. I just don't know if he has the instinct to turn his skills and chances into production. He misses so often it's a running joke at this time. Some guys can look good while accomplishing far less than the visuals indicate.

Hey habs fan. Noah Juulsen? Do you think he can sneak into a role on the team this season? I see a number of d men already signed so I would think he is fighting an uphill battle. But just curious what those that watch them think.

He's waivers exempt and the team has plenty of D signed, including Folin as the third RHD. After a bad eye injury I think Juulsen will be in the minors to start. I do expect he'll see plenty of action in Montreal though.

He looked very solid for a young dman when he was in the line-up. Sound decisions, physical, good mobility for a player of his size.
He needs to prove that his injury is properly healed first. If he does, he'll be back in Montreal sooner rather than later.

Don't see why he would get traded but it's always a possibility for any player. Haven't heard any rumors including him though.

I agree with what the others said though, after a tough year last year (injury-wise, and pretty scary at that) I think he obviously starts in the minors. But the team seems to like him and it's not impossible to see him play a regular role in 2020.

Good contract for LA to pick up when he's waived in October.

Habs sign McCarron to one year two way deal. It pays $700,000 in the NHL and $125,000 in the AHL. Which is where he’ll be.

    http://montrealgazette.com/sports/ho...o-way-contract

With that Bergevin has signed everyone he had. Just over $4 mil in cap space left. I feel like he needs to do something or this very similar roster is headed for April golf again...
