I can't shake the worry that we're not going to do much of anything at the deadline. There's just so much on offer and I think the teams that dare to buy will go for the cheaper options. Maybe get a pick for Plekanec at 50% retained but I'm worried we won't see a Patch resolution until the summer or even later than that. GMs all saw what Sakic was able to do by patiently dangling Duchene.

Need that lottery ball to give us a top 3. If we pick 7th or 8th I'll be devastated

I know it's easy to pick on Niemi for his play in recent years but he's been excellent in Montreal. He's given the team a chance to win.

It's just easy to poke fun at Niemi most of the time. I apologize if he is playing well, I had no idea to be honest that he was actually playing decent..

I think the Rangers and the Habs intrigue me the most coming up to the trade deadline.. How many guys can they unload??

This team is a tire fire. I know Pierre LeBrun said yesterday he wouldn't drop a grenade on this roster... but I would.

I heard something the other day, either on the radio or on Twitter. When Montreal went through this two years ago, the only moves Bergevin made was to trade away guys like Tokarski, Tinordi, Weise, Fleischmann and Smith-Pelly and get back guys like Stefan Matteau, Phillip Danault, John Scott and Victor Bartley.

In other words, don't expect Bergevin to make any big moves in the next week.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

Lindgren has been recalled. Price didn't practice after apparently taking shot off the mask. I was traveling and didn't see the game so I can't comment on what actually happened.

Juulsen has also been called up.
