No. I was already asked before if I had other accounts before but I have not. If you think I?m somebody else then I can?t do anything about that, but I am not .

Re: Redden vrs Chara. I remember reading ages ago that the Sens signed Redden because Chara wouldn't negotiate and had no intention of re-signing. I also read he never forgave the Sens for the way they treated Hossa.

Hossa was a stud, they should have backed up the brinks truck for Hossa and Chara.. Instead they went for Heatley and Chara..

Kind of sad to see Karlsson grab the game puck last night. Any chance he sticks around? I'm not really a Sens fan, but I'd like to see him stay. It's just been a disaster of a season for the franchise, on a number of fronts.

ust because the Sens are going to win about 6 more games this season, does not mean they are going to go into "desperation" mode and try and salvage a season that can not be salvaged. Bryan Murray has already said this a long time ago.

Would O'Reilly fit into the long-term plans, of course, because he is that type of player. Could a trade involving Zibanejad and a pick for O'Reilly be in the works, sure, but I doubt it. I have no way of knowing what the Sens project Zibanejad to be.

he's not a GM, coach or player. Not sure this works with owners. What would be epic if he dipped into his millions and posted rebuttal billboards next to these

To address a couple other things in this thread, als_revenge heard what I did, rumour was Chara was as good as gone after the Hossa trade. That, and we couldn’t really afford to give him what Boston did— a C and $7.5mil back when they were at or near the cap. Still awful in hindsight. I’d prefer we kept Hossa and Chara

As for Turris, I haven’t heard the rumours beyond what Dorion said and that makes sense to me. I don’t doubt Dorion would have given him $6x6 if there was any indication he’d take it. There’s a big tax difference in Nashville though so $6mil there is worth more than it is in Ottawa, capfriendly calculator has it as close to a $600k difference per year

Anyways, who do you guys like for our #4?

You didn't read Turris' comments about his departure?

"It's tough because I think management did want to sign me, but I think that the owner didn't," Turris said following Nashville's morning skate. "And that was his decision."

Yah I saw that too, but negotiations did happen by all accounts, and I don?t think Turris put 6x6 on the table in negotiations with the Sens. He reportedly wanted more term with Ottawa. Melnyk no doubt balked at 8 years at $6mil or more, because of course he would, and Turris was OK with 6 for 6 years in Nashville because that difference in taxes adds up significantly by the end of that contract
