Watched the 1st and 3rd last night and it was fun watching Bedard and reichel playing same line. Not sure when the shift happened in the game to pair them up but they looked good together. Reichel made some good plays to Bedard. The line looked good.
Two observations though which I found interesting:
1) reichel needs to be a bit stronger on the puck. Good hands and skill however he had two poke checks taken away and they turned out to be dangerous situations going the other way. It seemed too easy to get the puck
2) Bedard and Face offs. They ran a clip where he was working in practice with someone (don’t remember who) just on faceoffs. However later in the game they when they were in the other zone he didn’t take a faceoff but stood on the left side. I thought he wasn’t strong on faceoffs so why they didn’t give it to him but then relazed that whoever took the face off would win in back and leave it for Bedard to attempt to skate to middle grab the puck and shoot.
Just found that interesting. Maybe don’t rely on too many faceoffs but the ability to produce off that faceoff will be there
