Latest from the fishwrap NYP about the roster

Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.

thanks on that post, been trying to figure that top 6 and how it shakes out. Knowing Kravtsov will stay in KHL helps somewhat.

    welcome
I think that despite Buchnevich getting little love from the fans, he is probably going to remain on that line. Pavel was one of the better forwards down the stretch last season.

my hunch is KK gets the inside shot with Strome and Panarin

but thats hardly an original thought

Uncle Larry Brooks is arguing in todays fishwrap that Lafreniere should skate on the top line with Zib and Kreider.
    KK with Strome and Panarin.
Thus moving Buchnevich to 3rd line with Chytil and posted some fancy stats to back up his argument

I'm not sold on Chytil being a defensive checking type of forward, but I suppose if he can play defense it should help his overall game. He just turned 21 in September

    Panarin-Strome-KK
    Lafreniere-Chytil-Gauthier
    Lemieux
    Howden skated in Mika's spot

the interesting news is that Anthony DeAngelo played with Trouba on the top pairing
Fox & Lindgren drew 2nd pairing

If Zibenjad wasn’t there who is Zib on the first line? I’m confused.

It appears K'Andre Miller is in the process of playing his way onto the roster

    https://nypost.com/2021/01/08/kandre...angers-lineup/

“I thought K’Andre Miller was really good tonight,” Quinn said after the scrimmage. “He just moves so well, he takes up so much space, he’s got such a long reach, he closes on people quickly. His puck decisions, to me, have really been the surprise to all of us. We knew he made some good decisions, but to adapt as quickly as he has so far — and again, let’s keep it in check, it’s bubble practices and now it’s training camp — but he’s certainly shown a lot of things you look for in a defenseman.”

I don't know but it can't continue like this... The goalies haven't stolen any games but last year they didn't have to steal so many... The team isn't playing with a closing instinct.. Losing Chytill will not help.
