Is Malkin worth all this?

His Malkin(!!!)[$7.90], Butler[$3.50 (min salary)], Hecht [$3.50]

for

My Spezza [$13.90], Boyle [$8.05], Elias [$10.50] & Eberle (farm elig for this season only, starts '11='12 with $5.10 salary)

We're both contending - I'm in the top three so far, he's built to win now (has OV, Semin, Kopitar, Kane) and is sitting in top spot.

I have no qualms losing Spezza & Boyle in this and Elias isn't worth losing sleep over. Is getting Malkin worth losing Eberle also?

i pay a lot to land him last year (carter and e.staal) maybe you loose eberle but you manage to free 31$ in salary i don't know how your salary work but you may have decent player on waiver to spend those cash...

Maybe get him to consolidate Butler and Hecht for a bit more of an upgrade. If not, you still do it.

Yeah I think I would do that deal. The cap relief is immense, you get the best player in the deal - you have a well stocked farm.
