Perfect example of why you stick to your guns until you get completely shot dead and proven wrong. Flip flopping only makes things worse.

Since there are really only 2 constant members of the Big 3, Ovie and Crosby can't we just say its a Big 2.
Well put. In my league that is slightly goal-heavy, and favours players who produce on special teams Malkin has NEVER been the best pool player to own in any season. Until he has a season better than the other 2, he doesn't belong in the conversation IMO.

I disagree. If by "special teams" you mean powerplay, then Malkin is one of the best players to own. Each season he finishes towards to top in PPGs. He's one of the best powerplay weapons in the NHL, only Ovechkin and Stamkos are better options on the one-timer in my opinion.
If you mean depth categories, he's been very reliable for a PIM a game his whole career too. He plays physical and plays center, making him valuable for hits and faceoffs. He's on pace to beat his career high SOG by a decent margin this season and at that age he's only getting better. He totally has the upside, talent, and team situation to hit 140+, and I think that's enough to lock up a spot for him in the Big 3.

Outside of the faceoffs argument (lining up as a winger all season) I'd have to agree here.

very interesting how big of an effect "the moment" has on the perception of players. I said it before the season started and I'll say it again now... Stammer won't even hit 100.

took a lot of flack for that!!! (not in these forums-- i preached it pretty hard in my fantasy drafts/circles)

at this rate he'll be lucky to top his 95 points from last season

Excellent call, El Caballo. There was a lot of band-wagon jumping and talks of the big 3 including Stamkos in November and December when he was on pace for 110+. You don't hear the big 3 talk much these days.

Yep, but where are the big 3 this year ??? Those Big 3 won't make any team won in fantasy hockey this season. I'm currently 4th in my league, and I have two of the Big 3 on my team (Crosby/Malkin). I gave some great players to got them (Stamkos, H.Sedin, Perry...) and with one of them I would be first.

I have no problem for this season, but with the injuries both got, I'm not sure for the future of my team. Crosby should be OK, but I have some doubth, and with the knee injury of Malkin, I'm very not sure of his future. Just look at Markov this season. He came back after an ACL, and he even not complete the 1st game.

So yes, Stamkos, Sedin, Perry are not in the Big 3, but where are the Big 3 now and next season?

Big 3 lists all players who could conceivably reach 150 points in a single season. There are three players like that.

Twist the definition in as many ways as you want, but you would just be missing my intention.

Dobber I think you're crazy on this one lol. Define "conceivably"? Because it is humanly possible that Getzlaf could hit 150 as well, although definitely not likely. Crosby is the only player who could even sniff anywhere NEAR 150 - and that's a stretch. Someone like Malkin should be nowhere near any type of 150 point projections.
