    My thoughts exactly. Horton is entrentched as top line winger whereas Giroux's icetime will fluctuate depending on which Philly line is hot at any given time.

    Horton for this year, and as a keeper. Horton will be entrenched as a first line player for years to come. Can't say the same about Giroux at this point

    Horton was my choice for one year for that very reason, but Giroux could arguably be Philly's most talented player right now, and it won't take more than a season or two before he is getting more ice time than any Flyers forward.

    As far as pure talent and potential upside, they don't even belong in the same breath, IMO.

    Giroux is a gifted player, no doubt about it. While he's working his way up to first line minutes, Horton will already be there, not to mention playing with Savy (If and when he gets healthy).

    Giroux has some sick, sick hands.

    Horton is going down the road of the Semins and Gaboriks of the world I'm afraid.
