Gotta say, over the past few years I've used pickuphockey, Yahoo, Fantrax, ESPN and I just joined a league using officepools and ugh. Not a fan at all to be honest.

It seems to have everything that our league requires. Our pool is pretty low maintenance and because of that Officepools used to be ideal but everyone is really unhappy with it lately (incl. myself).
Looking forward to using Fantrax.
It's ridiculous that Officepools is charging $$$ for such a shitty service
The "NOTE" and ADMIN Notifications that have been appearing on officepools seem very rude too
I will pass your concerns along to them. Hang in there, they are still taking - and reacting to - feedback. Give it another week.

New OfficePools is growing on me
Definitely WAS slow. better now. I will admit as an admin for 10 years, the new version is better - after I spent some time messing around. Can do all the same stuff for my pool that Classic did (keeper, drop lowest, reserves, trade, private messaging, trash, ect). They still need to improve the report printouts but I emailed them and they said those would be dialed up by Nov. work in progress I guess.
It does seem to be getting faster and better and I read that somewhere it was because of all the box pools that poeple where submitting, it was taking up a lot webspace and time and slowing things down a lot. Thanks Dobber.

I'll give them another week or two before asking my league if they want to switch it up.

Bring back the game update like it used to be......so tonight at 11PM PST, I want to log in, look at how I did tonight compared to the rest of the league, and only have a minute to check my pool. As it sits now, I have to log in to every team to see how they did. Dumb, dumb, dumb #4 by my count.
At 11PM tonight, the 'Game update' column on the left side still shows last night. This is the internet, so things are supposed to be fast, no?
Not trying to be mean, but when you create something new, it's supposed to be better than the old one....I'm just not seeing it.
Yeah, Officepools royally messed up their trade function. Messed it so bad I couldn't get retroactive lineup changes to work 100%. I mean, I'm certain there's a way to do it right, but it sure it's as easy as it was in Officepools from the past, or as easy as it is in Fantrax.

Not that I'm on the rampage against Officepools or anything, just trying to make suggestions that will help:
When you look at the Game update tab on the right - in the evening after games are completed......it doesn't show all the stats that even basic poolies are looking for. Therefore kinda useless.
It doesn't even show wins and shutouts for goalies - a staple of every pools goalie portion. It show Shots and saves. For some leagues, that works, but any box pools, points pools etc....which is a big chunk of them, it's not enough info.
Just trying to be helpful here.....
