Halak's been insane but the champs won't get frustrated like the Caps did. Pens take it easy.

I picked Montreal in 7 against the Caps, but this one is not gonna be close. Halak will lose the horseshoe that's up his ass, and true playoff performers like Crosby and Malkin will light him up.

    Pittsburgh in 5

Caps proved that you need to play every minute of ever game in the playoffs. They were up 3 games to 1 and took the first 10 minutes off of game 5 and went down 2-0 and the Caps never had the advantage since that point.

Halak played amazing but come on our defense was amazing too with like 175 blocked shots or whatever it is. If you're gonna put that as the title you should have said Crosby vs Halak like praba said..with that said the title still made me laugh

If you make it Fleury vs Cammalleri I'd put my money on the Habs.

Montreal deserves a lot of credit, but they are going to have an emotional letdown after this series, plus the 7 games and the blocked shots will take its toll. No one will blame Halak if he has a bad game now as he and Montreal have already accomplished more than anyone gave them credit for. Best case scenerio is that they win game 1 based off energy from this series and hope Pit is a bit stale, but that might be the only game they win.

Washington has a ton of weapons but is not a great team. Plus there are a lot of factors that make PIT a better playoff team.

The Pens power play will not abandon them.
Malkin may not be playing at 100% but he will not vanish like Semin.
Gonchar makes himself a factor unlike Green.
Fleury has proven to be more reliable than Varlamov.
Staal, Talbot, Kennedy, Cooke provide secondary scoring and defensive play.

Oh yeah... Sidney Crosby can and will elevate his game when needed.

Pit is rested, healed up and a better team should take it in 5.

The rational part of me says Pens in 5, but that's the same part of me that said Caps in 5. Still, everything from here on out is gravy for Montreal, and the Pens are just flat out a much better team then the caps. The one thing is goaltending though, as I think Halak is miles ahead of MAF at the moment, and that can change a series. Still, can't beat against Sid the Kid, who's put Pittsburgh on his back so far. Pens in 6.

its funny to read all the exact same comments and predictions recycled here as we had in the MTL-WAS thread, nothing would make me happier than to see the Habs upset the Pens as well, not even a Stanley cup...ok that's a lie -lol

Im not sure what CBC wanted more, Penguins vs Habs in round 2? Or Pens and Caps in the Conference Finals?

Sens, Habs, Bos/Phi is a much much much much much easier run than any team that will come out of the West.
