I wanted to do this every 2-3 weeks...but it's been more like 2-3 months and for that I apologize. Moving...renovations...midseason guide...basically just life getting in the way. Anyway - toss your questions here and if it's asked before noon, I'll make sure to answer it by this afternoon

    1. Jussi Jokinen is hot. Do you see him outproducing Sullivan or Morrow for the rest of the year?

    2. Is Steve Mason worth a roster spot in a one-year league or should I give up on this guy? I have good goaltending (team is in sig.)

    Hey Dobber,

I got two short questions for you. For the 1 year H2H league in my sig, is there anybody I should drop to take a chance on DiPietro? Also, same question kind of, but should I drop anyone for Big Bert?

    Thank you

    Thanks Dobber.

    1. If Cam Barker gets moved, will his production go up or down?
    2. In your opinion, who is the future in WSH... Neuvirth or Varlamov?
    3. If Souray is moved, will Gilbert snap out of this huuuuge slump he's in? He's killing me and I know its killing you that you picked him over Doughty. Ouch.

What do you think about the Kovalchuk contract situation? I have a manager in my keepr league willing to trade him but I'm uneasy because I'm not sure if he'll positively stay in the NHL or be impacted positively if traded. Do you think he's worth going after?

Thanks for taking the time for this Dobber!

I'm curious on your take on the soon to return Lehtonen and the Atlanta goalie gong show.

Looking at my 1 year-roto team(which is in 1st place by a nose), I'm preparing for life without Leighton, unless Emery totally craps the bed (which is possible, I guess...)

Anyway, Lehtonen is available... Who would you put your money on as my #3 keeper from this free agent list: Lehtonen, Smith, Ellis, DiPietro or hold Leighton and hope he still gets playing time?

You won't get anyone impacting as much as Ray Emery. I don't see Zherdev impacting even if he does come back, I don't see Hudler coming back for another year yet, ditto for Radulov. You may see some players impact like Shirokov did (i.e. big camp and solid AHL season with promise for the future). A name that comes to mind is Linus Omark, although I'm not sure where his contract is at in the KHL for next year. He may be signed for another year yet. Another long shot is like Ilya Zubov, but Ottawa would need to trade his rights.

    One exception is Nikita Filatov.

The thing is, historically, we're not seeing players come from Europe to the NHL and making an impact unless they are a prospect. We get lots of hope - Leino, Pesonen, Dopita, Balastik, Shirokov,

The only player who has ever come back from Europe is Alex Semin, off the top of my head. Unless my league is incredibly deep, I wouldn't even be looking at KHL rosters. As for Filatov, we really do need him to be dealt or Hitchcock to be fired or you can forget about Filatov. I happen to think he will be dealt though, and will flourish in the NHL next year.

    I know what you mean:

Flash - just under a point per game. Say 30 in 34
    Frolik - also 30 in 34
    Giroux - 26 in 35
    Stewart - 26 in 34

    Prime:

    Flash - 74-78
    Frolik - 86-89
    Giroux - 89-93
    Stewart - 68-72

    1. No to Sullivan. He may outproduce Morrow though. But Sully will beat him handily.
    2. Bail. Unfortunately.

No and no - I would hold tight. your goaltending is fine as is and RDP won't help that any.

    1. Up up up up up UP
    2. Varlamov will be the Fuhr to Neuvirth's Moog. He'll get injured enough to see to it that Neuvirth gets in 30 games a year still.
    3. It's killing me and I'm still stubbornly hanging onto him and not dropping him, and I think it's really costing me. What's worse is that it's a limited keeper and I still think I will make Gilbert one of my 12 protected. Gilbert is getting a ton of ice time and lots of PP time so Souray going will not make a difference. It's just a sophomore slump, even though he was technically not a rookie last year.

Yes, he won't leave the NHL and he's a 95-point guy on any team

Will Giordano continue to be top in points on CGY's blue line for the season? What do you think he'll finish with?

    Thanks!
