I was just saying that from a pure team perspective that Hartnell brings to the team what coaches love - heart every night. You can't say the same for Carter as of late.

As for the "stupid" comment - read the comments closer or shut your mouth.

A simple response with, "I disagree" is sufficient.

years ago in flyerdom, Eric Lindros banged Rod Brind'amour's wife. Who got traded, the superstar or the valuable physical role player (who eventually won a cup)?

we all know the answer. That said, I am not opposed to trading either right now with how the team is playing, if this is true, one of the two needs to go and soon.

Due to exhibit a being a factual real life happening, I think it is the reason for the current rumor. A similar locker room schism took place then, and people are reaching for straws as to why they do not look like a team and like a bunch of guys with their heads planted deeply up their collective asses.

Hartnell is on pace for 50 pts and 117 PIM so he's right where he's expected to be. Why he's a part of this rumor is beyond me because his production is right where it should be or close enough.

The rumor should be that Pronger stole Carter's girlfriend or something - Pronger has a history and is already hated and Carter is underperforming. Wouldn't that make more sense?

Leads me to believe that someone saw Hartnell's hot wife and thought "No way she's happy with that goon... let's start a rumor."

I am suprised that the funniest thing I read in this thread was a comment about Hartnell being more valuable than Carter. If Carter got traded over Hartnell I think there would be a revolt. Trade a 24 year old Centre (who is massive, skates fast and is very defensively responsible), or an older, less talented guy that takes a lot of dumb penalties? He may have lots of heart, but that doesn't make him more valuable than a future top tier centre.
