Default Advice on the Nashville Dynamic Duo

    I need some advice.

I start one, they tank. The other comes on in relief and plays ok or tanks. I start the better of the two the next night.. they tank.

Should I just keep them on the bench till it is over with... and there is a clear #1?

I would trade both of them.. but I dont even think i could get a bag of pucks for them now....

Should I pick up raycroft in the short term and go with him? I coudl drop afinogenov...

Luongo's out only like two days, so I don't think Raycroft would be worth the move. I think you need to wait this out. Even with Thomas and Leclaire struggling as well, I think you just have to stay patient with these guys.

This is the Mason and Ellis scene from two years ago.
Rinne played his ass off last year and he got shafted at the beginning of the season when The troll went with Ellis to open the season.

I don't care if Ellis had a better pre-season, Rinne earned that job with his play last year.

As long as the troll is coaching this team this is what you get.
    He is a goalie killer.

He really shows no confidence in either one. The minute they give up a couple of goals they get pulled.
He does not allow them to try and get into any flow of the game.

I not sure if he understands his team sucks, not his goalies.
They have terrible D and not many quality forwards.

He is lazy (Trotz) it is easier to blame the goalies than fix the real problems.

I think the reality is that the Preds aren't a very good team and you can expect them to not produce very well - but as you say - you aren't getting much for them so you might as well hunker down. I think Raycroft, if he plays well and he has in his limited action might see 4 starts max - I think 2 games is rather optimistic for a cracked rib. Not sure it's worth it - you also need some time to see Afino's story play out.

    Sad thing is dude
I drafted Rinne in the first round of a Roto keeper I am in.

I was down in like 9th or 10th draft position and 6 goalies went the first 9 picks.
I was happy to get Rinne.

The other day I have to make some kind of deal to get Ellis.

    I should have known better.
Two years ago I got caught in the Ellis, Mason debacle.

I was going to start a Nashville goalie thread when I had seen I was beaten to the punch.
I can't understand for the life of me what Trotz is doing with his goalie situation.
He essentially said to Rinne that his stellar play down the stretch last season doesn't
mean squat. Then he proceeds to carry on with a goalie rotation with both guy's on the short leash instilling very little confidence in either one and never allowing one to get into any kind of rythm. I don't believe it's defense and goaltending that are the problem but a
lack of production up front. Maybe it's time for them to move one of their many young defensive prospects for some help up front and go with one goalie and see if he can't find his mojo without the notion of getting yanked and sitting the next game if a couple get
by. If he doesn't perform well enough over a stretch of games THEN go with the other guy
but this whole thing is starting to become a joke.

    Sorry for the rant.

    Frustrated Rinne/Ellis owner.

I agree...the only thing to do is wait it out. Your not going to get anything in return if you try to trade for nashville's goalies. Your situation could be worst...my other set of goalies are price and halak lol

And this is why you always start your goalies.

Everyone who started Rinne should thank me cause I had him on my bench.
