After watching tonight's Thrashers-Habs game, I'd say:
Pavelec
Varlamov
Rinne or Rask
...in that order.
I'm one of the many on here who has a contending team in their league, but has alot of question marks in goal. Basically, I'd like you to break down my goalies below, and tell me which 3 you think I should be protecting heading into next year. Hoping someone out there has a crystal ball
Pavelec
Rask
Rinne
Theodore

You definitely wouldn't keep Theodore, so the toughest choice will be choice will be deciding between three of the other four. And trying to decide that now is pretty much impossible. You'll have a much better chance deciding that during the summer, after all four guys have played another entire season.
Will Lehtonen come back strong after he gets healthy? Or will Pavelec keep the starter's job?
Will Varlamov hold off Neuvirth as Washington's goalie of the future?
How will Rinne perform during his sophomore slump season?
Will Rask progress to the extent we expect him to?
All four of these guys should be great tenders in the future. All have franchise goalie upside IMO. Your best bet would be to trade one of them for a top player at another position, so that you don't have to make a tough decision like this. Personally I might wait for Rinne to go on a hot streak and then try and move him. He's an uber talented goalie, but my spidey sense tells me that Nashville is heading in the wrong direction as a team, especially considering Chicago, St. Louis and Columbus are so much improved.
