boy, goes to show what the state of the "battle of alberta" has fallen to these days.... now all of alberta counts those slimy nucks as public enemy #1!

All it would take would be one great Oilers/Flames playoff battle again but the chances of that are way lower than they used to be.

Perhaps next year we can do a 3 team setup, 4 people from the Oilers/Flames/Canucks.

I would be interested in defending my Oil interests against those tree hugging, granola munching left coasters. Be thankful we use winter tires in Alberta, because the tread is softer and won't leave as big a mark on your bodies when you are steamrolled.

Keep it simple, points-only, 1 pt for G or A, 2 pts for W or SO. I think a four vs four or five vs five total points would be good, that way everyone contributes.

With less than 12 teams: 4C, 4LW, 4RW, 6D, 2G, 5 Bench; 12 teams or more: 3,3,3,4,2,5

No trading, 10 pick ups for the year. Don't care about IR either way, but if you have it, limit it to 3. Better if it's weekly lineups, but could live with daily with 82 gp max per position. Prefer Yahoo, never used ESPN or any other. I've got some deadlines coming up, so please let me know before going final on a draft timing (pretty please!)

These are my demands. If they are not met, I will start sticking the Luongo voodoo doll (it's also a bobble-head doll!) in the groin with my magic needles, one every day until the demands are met.

Thanks for the invite D, but in too many leagues already. Have had to turn down a few other interesting offers from other members.

No problem, I understand. I had a league fall through this year hence my opening.

We have enough for 4v4, if we get one more then we will do it 5v5 and away we go. I'll give it another day or two to see if we can get 1 more.

Any Oil fans want to make a bet over which team finishes higher in the standings.
My buddy won $100 last year from an Oil fan working at GM place.

I will always be an Oiler fan but I am usually fairly realistic about where the team will end up most years. Post cup run year I had super high expectations but generally I do fairly well with trying to figure out where they will end up.

I'd take the Canucks finishing higher than the Oilers this year for sure.

As for bragging rights, well I'm pretty sure we have it covered this year. We have a pretty stacked team, so if we can find one more ringer this might be a blood bath for Team Oilers!
