Do someone know what is happening with Ovechkin?
His production is not very impressive lately.

Nothing\'s wrong. The Caps are experimenting with their lines because they\'re out of contention. On a bad night, he\'s still no worse than Kovalchuk.

Yeah and he\'s still only 21 1/2 years old. Don\'t make me give you examples of the production of some other 21 1/2 year olds.

He\'s on a BAD team, he was squeezing for goals this year (hence the bad plus/minus), and not because he\'s selfish, but because he wants to help his team as best he knows how.

The reason teams like Buffalo, Nashville, and San Jose (to name a few) are so great is because the best defenders can only really focus on one of their top lines. Washington doesn\'t really have 2 great lines yet. To be quite truthful, I think Semin thrived this year playing mostly on the second line. The opposing team is so focused on not letting A.O. score that it opens up room for the rest of the team. That\'s why people like Matt Pettinger and Boyd Gorden can get points. If semin played right wing and played with Ovechkin this year, I\'d have him at no more than 50 points right now.

As Washington continues to increase their depth over the next couple of seasons, A.O. will get more room to work with (the defense will have to focus on other players as well as him). He\'ll really start shinning like the star he is.

I agree its way to easy for opposing teams to stack shut down solely on ALEX--and with not a great supporting cast around him this year.

Wait till next year when they hit FA market hard and get backstrom here.

my 2 teams have suffered missarabley this year OILERS and CAPS(ouch)

oh I traded for ALEXANDER this year in one keeper pool

    MY:Gaborik and Hossa

    HIS:Ovechkin and Nash

Wow, that\'s great trade for you. I was turned down when I offered Turco, Briere, Drury and H Sedin for Ovechkin in our keeper pool.

not great at all if it is a one year but long term it should be awesome I think. I guess Nash has improved a little more too of recent.

For some reason when I read one keeper pool I read one year pool lol.

I wouldn't worry too much about it!! I think he will turn things around eventually and become one of the leagues best goal scorers!! He may even win a cup and a conn smythe trophy in the process!!
