Oh yeah, her other forwards are Staal, Frolov, Marleau, Stempniak, Wolski, and Nash, so my players could replace Crosby and 2 of her bottom 3.
Her Crosby/Higgins/Stafford for my Kovalchuk/Michalek/Sykora
She’s been peddling Crosby around for some reason, and Stafford and Higgins are her two bench players.

What do you guys think? It comes down to how well Higgins, Stafford and my three will do this year (or if you think any of the FA’s are better than them, or better than my bottom dwellers, etc). Should I make the offer, and if so, then what to do with the scraps?
Thanks

um that\'s an amazing deal for you why are you even asking? All three of your players for Crosby alone would be an amazing deal.
Well, for starters, I put Dobber’s predicted points for these guys (used last years +/-) in a spreadsheet that took into account our league’s point calculations and the Crosby side came out a little LESS than the Kovalchuk side.
So I don’t think it’s all that simple, which is why I’m looking for other people’s advice. Does the deal leave me too weak in the middle ranks? Or should I jump on some of the FA\'s?
I might get crucified for this but...
GIVEN your scoring system, and your already STRONG centers. DONT do this deal. You are giving up 1 winger who could put up 50+ goals for you (bounce back season), a winger who is on the rise (mihalek), and sykora, who has the potential of careering. BECAUSE this is a ONE YEAR LEAGUE, you can afford to pass on this deal (breaks my heart to say no to crosby). IF this was a keeper league, this deal might be the biggest rip of the century. Good luck.
Thanks Typo.
Although, what about Stafford and Higgins? If they can get 60 to 70 points each, then I think the Crosby side wins. And I’m wondering if Kovalchuk can actually get back over 50 goals without a good set up man. If Thornton has Marleau on his line, does Michalek lose value a little?
chris higgins is not going to touch 70 points playing for the Canadiens.
70? No. But maybe 60. Dobber has him down for 30G and 25A. Goals are worth more for me. And hey, Montreal plays Toronto and Boston 8 times each so anything can happen.
In a one year pool your giving up too much for one player... The other 2 guys will more than likely find a spot on your bench or end up on waivers at some point this year.

Yeah, thanks. I\'ll think about some other options that don\'t give up too much mid to high end guys.
