The two goals so far were both very impressive while Schenn and Van Ryn both made themselves look very bad. But yeah, I don\'t get how the defense can crumble so much. If anything, they should buckle down harder when they have such a young guy in the net.

Yeah definitely! I\'m no expert, but like you I don\'t think it\'s a good way to make him better and make sure that he\'ll be a good NHL goalie.

It\'s funny how they have kind of protected him for a pretty long time, yet he\'s getting a baptism by fire anyway

Things are getting ugly against the SABRES. Maybe Pogge should just drop the gloves.

Are the leafs going to ever give Pogge some help or maybe a HOME start??

Two periods into the game and Pogge is making a statement to his teammates. He is BY FAR the best Toronto player on the ice.

Totally agree, I watched the game from start to finish and they left Pogge in nets for only one reason: He was playing phenomenally. But for some huge saves from him on at least two clear breakaways and at least 4-5 other great scoring chances, that game was 8-0 or worse.

Best Toronto player on the ice is an understatement, the Leafs played absolutely putrid hockey in front of him.

Maybe the leafs d-men are doing it for some sort of initiation - kinda like Montreal in TB last year haha
