Cloutier has been placed on waivers.
I am sre LA will not overpay for Gerber, as Ottawa would likely give him away.

The fact that its Gerber rumoured pretty much guarantees it will be someone else LA obtains, if they even make a trade at all.

99.999% of all trade rumours never happen, sorry if I sound like a broken record.

its no secret that LA has been searching for a goalie... Indeed it seems that franchise has pretty much often been looking for a solution in nets. The turnstyle in LA is newsworthy.
I think it boils down to what assets LA is willing to offer as there are a few goalies floating around the NHL who could be \"had\"

Gerber doesn\'t do anything for LA. No point trying for quick fixes with upside. They have Bernier in the wings, one, and they have plenty of goaltenders in the system, two. They\'d need a one year rental of someone who is a top tier goalie for this year, until JB takes the reigns for the next 10+ years. No point getting Gerber. Why? See Cloutier. Do nothing, or go for a big rental.
