Default Petr Sykora - positional eligibility

For some odd and totally bizarre reason, Sykora is listed as a center in yahoo fantasy hockey. Fortunately, sooner or later, Sykora will be the winger that he rightly should be.

However, is he a LW or RW? Recchi played RW for Crosby last season, so that would put Sykora on the left side. However, Sykora would probably be more effective on the right while recchi is on the left.

Which is it gonna be? Right now it isnt going to be a concern, but one of my teams is weaker in RW...with Sykora as one of my centers. If he turns into a RW for sure, thatll solve the headache

Sykora might just end up listed as IR after getting smoked by Orpik tonight. Ouch!

He\'ll go C,RW one would imagine. I have him in one league, got him late, and if he sticks with Crosby who knows how well he\'ll do.

Sykora will play RW with Crosby, for a few reasons. Recchi\'s had plenty of time playing both wings and will probably move to the left side. Also, a Malkin-Crosby-Sykora line would have Malkin at the LW. During training camp, the top line was Recchi-Crosby-Sykora with Sykora on the RW. In my league Sykora\'s marked as C/RW.

Speaking of which, Yahoo currently has Malkin as a LW. Do you know if Yahoo could take that eligibility away if he played only Center? Cuz me thinks that might screw some people over...

generally yahoo never removes eligibility, it only adds it. this is often the reason why players have multiple - they start the season in one place, get moved, yahoo adds the new position but doesn\'t remove the old one.

That\'s right repenttokyo - but no generally about it - it specifically states in their fantasy hockey information that they will never take away eligibility only add to it. Click the help button in your yahoo league and go to the roster section I believe it is to read FAQ\'s.
