Kurashev - where are we at?
Where are we at on this guy? Horrible season this year after some flashes last. Ultimate buy low time but do we expect him to turn it up? Is he going to get traded at the deadline - just need a new scene?
Also what kind of contract can he expect this offseason?

I really had him pegged for another step up going into this season but man, he's been a disappointment. A lot of my expectations were based around him saddling up with Bedard but to be fair, it's not like Bedard has taken any steps forward himself.
He's not someone I am looking to acquire simply because of the uncertainty and doubt. No clue on his next contract but I cant see him getting a big raise by any means.

Kurashev is now 25 years old and has been in the NHL for 5 years. While he had himself a nice year last year his 8 pts so far this year I think speaks volumes as to why he was a 4th round pick and his early numbers pretty mediocre. He may turn it around, but I think the chances of that are not great and "investing" anything substantial fantasy wise in him is pretty risky. In all but the deepest leagues I'm not going there. As they say, never say never, but at this point, I think Kurashev is simply a place holder for the Hawks until elite prospects develop and proven and higher caliber players are brought in. Accordingly, and ya, the 8 pts so far this season doesn't help much either, I don't think Kurashev next contrqact, much like his hockey development curve, is taking the next step forward either.

I had 60 points F hopes for him but i think he settles into 30-40 point guy now ...probably not worth fantasy spot unless its deep league.
