Default Buffalo - one goal, zero shots.

The Sabres finished the third period with zero shots on net but scored a goal and won the game. The Sabres became the first team to score a goal without a shot on net in a 20-minute period since they started tracking shots by period in 1965-66.

Put this one in the back pocket for future trivia nights!

    Carolina pulled the goalie....

Buffalo player had a breakaway and was hooked/slashed down on the breakaway before getting the shot off.

Ref awards a goal because when you are hooked down on a breakaway with an empty net it is an automatic goal - as opposed to a penalty shot on an empty net.
