Who's someone you might add for him? It might be a while before he's fantasy relevant again. Perhaps a trade out of Anaheim would help, but we don't know when that would happen (very unlikely at the deadline) much less where.
Tittle says it all. I'm inclined to drop him when he gets off IR rather than make room for him on my roster. I moved Savoie for Zegras last summer thinking it was worth a shot. So far, I am not at all impressed. Team and league in sig.

I added Nichkushkin as an FA after Zegras went down. I don't see myself dropping Nich for Zegras when he's ready to come off IR. I also recently added Vilardi as an FA but I don't see moving him out in favour of Zegras either. There are two major issues I have with Zegras, he is seriously lagging in production based on his hindered development and big t9ime inconsistency and a significant factor in that is his inability to stay healthy, simply put, he is a 23-year-old band aid boy. While many think a change of scenery is needed, I'm struggling to understand why a young player, among many other young players, on a rebuilding team like Anaheim, is not about as good as it gets for a guy like Zegras. I think he's been in a sweet spot, he's just shitting the bed and ya, he's on IR all the time. Thoughts?

I have him on my roster and plan to wait it out until after the trade deadline. If he gets traded, things could change for him in a hurry. I feel like it’s all mental with him because we’ve all seen he has the skill to be a star.

if you are competing i dont mind dropping him but with understanding that it may backfire someday. Talent is still there but obviously not much been happening and he gets injured more often than we would like. Keep in mind that not much good is happening in Anaheim period. I expect that to change at some point so if he remains a Duck i think he will improve with a team. How much is hard to predict so we need to wait and see. If he gets treaded, i think he improves almost instantly.
Question is, how much do you think he can improve? I still think he got that PPG potential, but looking less and less that he will get there.

It depends of your league settings. If it's for the league in your sig who is a keep 25 league, I would hold on on Zegras. He's very disapointing but he's a great talent. I'm not as high on him as one or two years ago, but he still could be a great asset.
I lost patience with Cronin myself. im not willing to wait until Verbeek finally fires Cronin to bet on Zegras.
I will pick Zegras up the second I see Cronin fired
Not that Dallas Eakins was a great coach, but he didn't absolutely handcuff his players from using their strengths. Zegras scored 61 and 66 points under Eakins and was 2nd for the Calder.
Eakins used a zoned Defense strategy as opposed to Cronin's old fashioned man on man defense. Its crippled their breakout
The Development of McTavish, Carlsson, Gauthier, Mintyukov and Zellweger are going to be stunted as a result of Cronin. Every Ducks fan I know and every Ducks message board wants Cronin fired. If you told me at the start of the season they were trading Fowler and Using Lacombe on PP1 instead of Mintyukov or Zellweger, I would have laughed. Nobody had Lacombe and Brett Leason on their PP1 bingo card. Leason is a 4th line grinder and Pker on PP1 over Mctavish as the net front presence.

The more I think about it the more I think this hits the mark. Yet another issue I have with Zegras is that this is a CAP league and his 5.75 Mil hit is a very poor contract. I could put that CAP to work to more benefit than waiting for Zegras and the Ducks to come to life ... or Cronin to get handed the pink slip.

I agree with others here. From a fantasy standpoint, Cronin is TERRIBLE and really hurts us fantasy owners (I own Zellweger). But the reality is that Anaheim is on pace to do much better this year than they did last year. Unfortunately, I think Cronin is doing exactly what he was brought in to do, and ownership is happy with him.
Lets say they do fire Cronin. Who you replacing him with?

Zegras' injury issues are another reason to be frustrated by him.
