Thought it would be fun to look back so far….
JT Miller has 14 points through 11 games played since the trade.
Pettersson has 3 points through 10 games played since JT was traded.
Im pretty disappointed too. Everything was going fine, but this has taken an awful turn. Why give JT and Petey these contracts last year knowing this was a potential issue? Then throw the players under teh bus with an out of market interview? Boooo , hissss.
Over three years later, and still not quite there https://forums.dobbersports.com/show...53#post2166653 . I like the C on Hughes, so its now or never EP40/11.6

Going back to 1990-91, there have been 134 other instances of a forward scoring 100+ points in a season. If I had to liken EP40 to one in terms of future trajectory, as of now I'd say perhaps Doug Weight or Vinny Lecavalier.

Nope, Huberdeau is the best comparison. Even though he's not a center. People are happy with Hubs this year because he might score 30 goals and 60 points. I think if Petterson bounces back to be a 60 to 70 point player, some in Vancouver, Petey fan boys will be singing his praises. I for one said from the get go, keep Miller and trade him.

I suppose Pettersson could be traded after the playoffs are done, but still some chance he'll be traded before the deadline too. Got to wonder if he doesn't need a change of scenery, aside from getting well from whatever is keeping him back. Buffalo doesn't seem like a destination to get well, but they seem like the most likely trade partner.
As for the Miller trade - I doubt it only came down to Miller or Pettersson. Seems more like the Miller-in-Vancouver had run its course. Might be the same for Pettersson.
