Teoscar Hernandez and the Dodgers have agreed to a three-year, $66 million deal, per source. The deal includes a club option for 2028. @YancenPujols and @ChrisCotillo were on it.
So much for a Jays reunion. I wonder how much is deferred.

Sasaki Sweepstakes is down to three teams...

    Dodgers
    Padres
    Blue Jays

But the article I read said that the Blue Jays are always 'considered' when it comes to these - but they would be surprised if he doesn't go to one of the SoCal teams.

    Haha

And who invites them to the wedding?

Are the players involved actually interested... or they just know that the media will make sure everyone knows that the Jays are interested?

Yep. Feel like they get off easier than the Yankees would because when the latter poured money at players it was some pretty unlikable guys. Betts, Ohtani and Freeman are all awesome.

Still, this team should easily win every year and it should be viewed as a massive choke job if they don't.

I know... its hard to hate the Dodgers when they have my favourite player!! Freddie!!!

And I agree... anything less than World Series is a choke for sure with the talent and money spent on this team.

Whereas when the Yankees were at a similar point they had Giambi, ARod and Clemons. I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch.

The Jays should be focused on keeping their own guys and working on those deals. Guys like Ohtani, Soto and now this guy are all pipe dreams. I'm not saying they shouldn't chase them but if you're going to offer big money, maybe worry about getting your own house in order.

Anthony Santander’s deal with the Blue Jays is for five years and more than $90 million, sources tell ESPN.
Look at that, Atkins actually did something this off-season instead of chasing sunshine and rainbows. He found a bat!

This point by Mike Willner on their Sasaki screw up should be their last straw. But...clearly they're still going.

That Myles Straw trade is insane when you're nickel and diming Vlad for multiple years and let your 2x All Star local closer go on a nothing deal because it wasn't "worth the risk".

I don't mind the Santander deal, but I want Alonso to really bring in the power to this lineup. I have no idea how financially it'll work, but if they can't fit it because of Myles Straw's $12m...omg.

They're a joke. I can't believe they still have jobs.
