No clue why Canada keeps running Bonk out there to run PP1. They have the top scoring Dman in the CHL on the bench in Sam Dickinson yet they don't use him in PP1 or PP2. Bonk and Dickinson both play for London so who do you think runs their PP? Head scratcher.

What a game by Latvia! They deserved that win for sure. I think it was also a much needed wake up call for Canada. Like Axe said, how do you not play the top scoring Dman in the CHL on PP1.

Prediction for todays game:
USA: 7
Latvia: 2

I think USA is a stronger team than Canada, and I also think it will be hard for Latvia to come off of a big win and refocus in time.

I mean even if neither of them made the team initially, why wouldn't one of them have been the replacement for Schaefer? Mynio is fine I guess, but why not have one of the guys who are putting up better than a point per game and were drafted in the top 10 last June?

Because Mynio wasn't officially on the roster until now.

From the start, I thought team USA had the stronger team than Canada. That being said Schaefer is not the entire team. Like any other team another player needs to step up and I still see the championship game between the United States and Canada with the USA coming out on top as I thought before the tournament even started. Still no matter what team it is one player doesn't make an entire team unless you play in the NFL or NBA and the team loses a player like Mahomes or Lamar Jackson or Lebron or Curry and your team completed collapses which is why the NFL and NBA will never be the NHL or any Hockey Tournament in my opinion.

Finland is a tough team for sure and a well deserved victory for them today against the United States. The USA really need to re-focus for their next game on New Years Eve against Canada. That game is going to be a really good one and will determine who takes Group A's top spot.

Fun game to watch today. Finnish goalie should have been the player of the game for Finland. He was awesome today. No doubt Augustine wants that OT shot back.

Watching Canada struggle to score is painful. The kids on this roster that are expected to score simply aren't doing it. I dont need to hear they should have brought this guy or that guy. The guys there all have roles to play. Not everyone is looked at for offense and some are placed into defensive style roles but the ones that ARE in the offensive roles simply aren't getting it done enough. I could go down the list but we all know who they are.

I give Dave Cameron credit for realizing this PP1 setup was not smart and made the right change and it looked better last night. Why he ever put Bonk as the PP1 QB is a head scratcher seeing as he doesn't play that role in London. Either way, it was better.

Carter George has looked excellent to this point.
