You said it much better than I did. Maybe I should have not said all, but like you stated most of the management would not throw their kids under the bus.
Also, does anyone feel that those Canadian Kids didn't give 110% each game? I don't think that was the case at all, I just think they got outplayed by teams that were better like Czechia and the USA. The Latvia game was one hell of a game played by Latvia and if they would probably play team Canada 5 more times in a row they most likely would not have won, but that night it was their night and they deserved it. That is not saying that the Canadian Kids didn't give 110%.

Is undisciplined though different than putting in full effort? A good coaching system, I believe can work and hopefully successfully change undisciplined players. I would hope they could. You also have to remember these players are kids. These are not Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, or Mitchell Marner. These are kids that are going to be undisciplined at time if the coaching aren't doing their job. I really do think these kids put it all out in every game and the coaching are the ones to blame here. The problem is though the kids from this team are the ones getting blasted a lot as well.
i agree they are kids and im sure they played with solid effort. IMO, its on the coaches.

Why you feel the need to assign the blame? Maybe its nobody's fault. Also if you blame coaches, what exactly did they do wrong in your opinion?
To me its simply the fact that the world of hockey is better now than it was before. Yes Canada will still win their share in years to come but so will other countries cause they now develop as good of players as Canad does. Its going to be in Cycles now.
Its very similar to soccer and Canada themselves. Few years back they were right at the bottom in the game that every country plays...now they are respected and can compete with middle of the pack and from time to time should be able to compete with those at the top.

Well said here.
Love the comparison to soccer and about how the other countries are catching up.
Latvia played a lot of teams close.
Kazakhstan went to overtime with Slovakia.
The Germans only beat Kazakhstan by one in the relegation game.
The bottom teams have closed the gap big time

you cant develop chemistry in 4-5 practices...i cant even skate so obviously never played hockey but i played soccer at very high level. Sometimes takes full season to gel, sometimes more. These kids barely ever play together as each of them can play 3 of these tournaments at best and obviously most of them do not.
If you seriously think that if they practiced during the tournament they would have won then we got nothing to discuss here...
