I can't believe Stanton stole a base...
Missed the boat on predictions.
Go Mets though.

It's so dumb to play 162 games and then have the first 2 series be best of 3 and best of 5.
The biggest issue with baseball in general is that it's 162games. Make it 100games, same amount of days or ends slightly sooner.
I don't mind the series being the length they are, especially when it's designed to not have the 5th starters participating in the series, and avoids the 4th starter. In reality, teams only have 3 worthwhile starters for the playoffs anyways.
But ya, if I was to run the league with no holds bare, no financial issues and red tape, I would make the season April-Mid-September, 100gp in 164days = 64 days off, that's 12ish days off/month. So that's about 8.5games/2weeks. Instead of 5-7 starters needed on teams, it's 3-5 starters. The extra starters likely transition to the BP, weeds out the crappy BP arms that are there just to eat innings as a sacrificial arm. Your starting rotation in the regular season mirrors the playoffs more. Allows more time to schedule makeup games.
One of the most annoying things about baseball is that "Bullpen days" are regular now, and in the playoffs that's so dumb to me.

Lots of intriguing World Series options here.
Obviously LAD vs Yankees is the big ticket, but a Subway Series would be cool too.
Lindor vs Guardians is also really appealing to me.
Well. I guess if those 2 teams are going to be this close they might as well face each other.
LA vs NY is what league wanted (not like it was rigged, just what they wanted). But cool to see that Ohtani or Judge will win their first WS. I dunno what I want though. I would love to see the Dodgers lose, but I like Ohtani more than Judge and the NYY in general.

I don't really want to cheer for the Dodgers, but I have to cheer against the Yankees
Without me, it's only "aweso".
I cannot believe I am saying this... but Go Dodgers!!
Go Freddie!!!!

This one felt inevitable to me.
After a decent run of small market teams, and fiesty upstarts etc. going on runs and winning World Series' it was time for a "buy yourself a World Series" matchup.
I hate the Yankees and hate the Jays lost Ohtani (whether they ever host a real shot or not) so am annoyed but there is still plenty of intrigue in this one.

Both likely MVP in the World series.
That has only happened a handful of times in history.
Thats exciting for baseball.

When was the last WS that didn't have a legit ace in it? I wouldn't call Cole a front line #1 anymore.
2023 - Rangers vs DBacks (Eovaldi vs Gallen)
2022 - Astros vs Phillies (Nola vs Verlander)
2021- Braves vs Astros (Morton vs Valdez) But you had Fried, Greinke (I think was still good that yr) and Urquidy
2020 - Dodgers vs TBR (Kershaw vs Glasnow)
2019 - Nationals vs Astros (Scherzer vs Cole) but also Strasburg, Verlander
I'm thinking maybe 2005? But that's before I even truly cared about the Jays really let alone other teams.

When was the last World Series that had 4 past MVPs? More if you include Kershaw...
Holy... Crap.
Walk off Grand slam.
