What are you guys doing with Swayman?

For those in a cap league the Swayman signing is a huge cap hit. Is he worth keeping or drop?

Not sure he's worth keeping. I definitely think there's merit in an elite goalie for big bucks in your setup, but I want to know he's getting 60+ starts if committing those dollars. Otherwise, I'm just patching it together with cheaper options.

Provided you have the cap room to keep him, I'd keep him for now and see where things go.

I think we are all about to feel the hit of the goalie market going up. If this is a keeper league you also have daccord that is about to go up next year.

I have shesterkin in my cap league and trust me I am asking the same question now. He is probably not worth the money but having elite does help.

If you can afford him I’d keep him for this year and see what happens. Maybe shop him around but just know you will have to sell at a discount bc of his higher contract.

Fantasy worthy D are also getting raises these days. They get 10+ for 60, 70 points. Or worse, they get 8-9M before actually reaching potential.

It seems more and more that unless you have a lucky stud on a team friendly contract, or a rare bridge... it's tough!

8 mil-ish is obviously the new normal for bonafide starters, like top 10-15 guys. With the top 3-5 in the league getting closer to 10 or above.
Swayman will play close to 60 games and he is awesome, but the Bruins have to be on a downward trend one of these years, right?

About the D corps being overpriced I am 100% in agreement. If it was straight up categories, having a balanced team makes sense. If the cats are weighted in any way.... it becomes cost mitigation for anything other than Forwards.
