Demko and my team

Hey all. For team in signature.

Situation :
Won last 2 years and 3 of the last four. Gave away a bunch of picks last season so didn't have many picks early in the draft. Demko was my keeper from last year and in our draft I decided to go with low salary goalies because all the elite/good ones were taken. So I ended up with a duo of Talbot and Daccord.

Question :
With all the mystery around his injury, his history and the fact that if/when he comes back I'd have to make a few moves to fit Demko's salary on my roster, would you be tempted to just let him go? Silovs was just dropped and I could likely pick him up for free off of waivers without costing any moves. Curious to know if people here think he might be a better option, at least for the time being, than Talbot or Daccord?

Goalie stats are simply Wins (2), Shutouts (+2) and OT loses (1)

well if he can figure out how to play through whatever he has and play at level he is capable of he is still top 10 G if not better and will hurt you to let him go. But who knows if he can, nobody knows. Many writing him off but i personally would not until we know more.

I like Silovs more than Talbot. Don't like the three-headed monster in Detroit and think Lyon is the #1 guy there. And I just don't think it's a good enough defensive environment for Talbot to succeed.

I had the same dilemma and I choose to drop Demko, though I ended up drafting him again. His health is such a huge question mark, but if he's able to bounce back, he's shown he can be a top 10 or even top 5 goalie. I'm not sure you can give that up.

In your position, I'd probably dump Talbot for Silovs. Silovs isn't going to be worse plus he saves you about $1.7 million.
