    Default Watching sports without cable

How can I watch mainly NHL and LPGA/PGA golf without cable.
This topic may have come up before, if so please direct me to the thread.

We’re in the Okanagan in BC Canada. Time to reduce the cable bill by deleting TV. We watch Netflix, Disney, Brit Box and Prime. The only thing we watch on TV anymore is NHL hockey and golf. I don’t need to have Centre Ice or a package that provides every NHL game.

All thoughts and advice greatly appreciated. Just keep in mind I’m definitely not tech savvy . Cheers

Personally I bought a firestick and subscribed to a IPTV service that gives me pretty much anything and everything imaginable from TV shows (including those on Disney, Brit Box, Prime, Netflix, HULU, etc, etc, etc, ), sports, VOD, and movies. I pay $74 and that gives me full access for 6 months, then I renew when it comes due. Best decision I ever made.

This if you're not tech savvy 100%.

If you want to completely eliminate spending $ on sports and you can follow directions, buy a Firestick and install Kodi on it. Not nearly as smooth/seamless as an IPTV service, but it's not hard to install/navigate by any means.

for those that use a firestick. Would you need to buy the service on multiple firesticks if you have multiple tvs in your room, or can you buy the service on 1 firestick and "log in" on other firesticks on your other tvs?

My telus contract is up next month, and I currently pay 130 a month for tv/internet on fibre optic

That price I'm paying allows me to log into two devices. I could pay a little more if I wanted more devices but it's not a need for me.

For the record, $130 is cheaper than what I pay for Bell 1.5 fiber op wifi alone here in NS, without the tv.

We’re just over $200 a month now for cable and internet. It’s insane.

I absolutely love streaming movies on 123movies The site offers a fantastic range of films, ensuring there's always something new to discover. The streaming quality is impressive, and I appreciate the absence of annoying ads or interruptions. It’s easy to navigate, making movie nights enjoyable and stress-free. If you're a film enthusiast, 123movies is definitely worth checking out!

To watch NHL and LPGA/PGA golf without cable in the Okanagan, consider subscribing to streaming services like **Sportsnet Now** for NHL games, which offers live streaming of many matches. For golf, the **Golf Channel** app or **Paramount+** may provide coverage for LPGA and PGA events. You could also explore **YouTube TV** or **fuboTV**, which offer sports channels, including NBC and ESPN. These platforms typically provide free trials, so you can test them out. Make sure you have a good internet connection for seamless streaming. Cheers!

since you mention you have prime you will get monday night hockey that starts on the 14th .

CBC is part of my river tv app channels so I'll get hnic on saturdays .Youtube premium / nhl extended highlights commercial free .

I'm probably skipping SN + premium (out of market pkg)this season unless a sweet promo code arrives before xmas .

Im in the same boat now. It lags sometimes but it's definitely worth the price cut.

I paid $120ish for 12months of service and it's been good for the IPTV I have.

I won't say I 100% understand the whole options of IPTV out there, but this one says 4K TV is available, but I have no idea how I search for games that are being broadcast in 4K.

There's a CFL game tonight being broadcast in 4K, I might see if I can watch that to see if it's on my IPTV as 4k. The first Leafs game on TSN in 4k isn't until Oct24th, but Sportsnet has a lot of stuff in 4K normally and I haven't seen it on my service. However the customer service is 100% top notch. You talk to someone directly on Telegram, and it's just spot on.

The information flowing for this topic is amazing. I will be looking into many of these options. Being able to reduce our monthly cable costs is the goal. We don’t watch any cable tv movies or shows. Just some NHL and golf.
