Demko vs Tippett

I originally posted this in another thread, but I'm splitting it out into it's own thread in hopes of better visibility.

Our keeper deadline is coming up on Wednesday and I'm having serious misgivings about whether or not I want to keep Demko. At the same time, I'm having major FOMO about my decision not to keep Tippett, so the idea of swapping Demko out for Tippett has been on my mind a lot. Tippett costs 20% more than Demko, which isn't great, but I can afford it as I have a good chunk of unused cap space that I was saving in case Seider or Swayman sign for more than expected.

I hate to give up on Demko, but I also hate the idea of carrying a player with so much risk and uncertainty, not just for this season but for the player he can be next season and beyond.

you've more or less answered your own question. When Owen rises into the 65-70 point tier which may be this year, you'll have the new Meier.

I'm expecting some pretty good things from Tippet myself. He sure looking like an elite multi cat player about to bust out. Demko, with both Saros and Swayman on your team is absolutely expendable and the risks associated with him seem to be growing by the day, it's just not getting any better with this guy. Make the swap.

I'd feel a lot better about this if the latest update on Swayman was "we hope he'll sign by December 1". It doesn't really change the arithmetic on whether or not to keep Demko, but it puts me in a tough position. Goalies get hoarded like crazy in this league (one manager is keeping five).
