Your team should be looking to the future. It is not potent enough to win near term, so don't take the deal, and in fact I'd be looking to trade Point and Kaprizov between now and this time next year.

You have a nice group of fowards and adding Hanifin and Theodore will complete well your defense. You will also be 100% sure to own the PP1QB of Vegas this year. I like it for you to win now.
The only thing I don’t like is selling Zegras at his lowest value but it’s ok.

This is some horrible advice imo, your team is built to win now. Don’t be selling a 27 superstar in his prime (Kaprizov). I like the trade for you.

I’d pass on this and not look back. However I am a believer in zegras to come back to close to PPG this season.

With that Theo is nice but with his injury history I wouldn’t be taking him on unless he is a late round draft pick.

Perhaps on second glance you are closer to competing than I'd first observed. But what you don't want to do is try to go for a middle ground approach where you end up lacking players to win either now or down the road.

I don't mind the deal but I would explore a better Dman. Theo is often injured and although you get Hanifin in the deal to compensate I don't know if he moves the needle for me. You are giving up some nice youth so maybe cast that package in the water for a bigger fish? Good luck either way.

This is where I land as well. You are on the right track, but should look for a higher end D. I would be on the hunt for a STUD defenseman if I was offering up all of that youth.

With each team (12) rostering 5D I don't think it can be understated how important D depth is. Good luck.

I really believe that as soon as 2025-2026, Zegras and Guenther will both be far better assets than Hanifin and Theodore. And you have to add Zellweger and a 2nd for a 7th.

I really don't like this offer for you. I'm pretty sure you can get another 50 pts defensemen for a lower price.

Should have added that I would be able to keep another player. Norris or jiricek or benson.

It’s possible in a year or 2 that you would have given up the 3 best assets in the trade. I’d easily stick with what you have.
