    Default Tommy Willander

Hi everyone, I'm wondering about thoughts on Tom Willander and what kind of fantasy asset he will turn into (I'm not too fussed about how long he takes to arrive). Relevant categories are G, A, PPP, SHP, Hits, Blocks. I know QH is the undisputed #1D in Van, but what can we expect from Willander.
    Thanks in advance.

According to the prospect guide 30 points is the upside. Better in real life than fantasy player. He should be a decent multi-cat guy though.

There are a few things that Willander has going for him. He is by far the most encouraging prospect D man than the Canucks have; when you look at the big team's roster there should be plenty of opportunity for Willander to find a home on Vancouver's blue line in the next few years unless some significant trades are made. His upside is not elite, Dobber has it pegged at 53 with a 3YP of 30. His prospect profile projects him as a 2nd pairing D Man. All this sounds about right. Willander should be rostered in a moderately deep Dynasty for sure, however, he will be a wait and the upside is limited but should absolutely be fantasy relevant in a league like yours.

For fantasy I am NOT a fan. In D guys you sort of want either a complete game with high octane offense OR the Parekh thing where you're at least not questioning the offense.

Wallander felt like a reach irl. In fantasy... he was basically a land mine imho...

That being said I do a deep dive every summer and I haven't gotten to W yet- so take that with a grain of salt. Proapects DO improve and a lot of pooling miss that. I'll report back if I find more reasons for optimism...
    Weekly hth league- 2c, 3w,1 ff (forward only flex), 4d, 1g, and one true flex. Sog/goal weighted for skaters: G4, A3, Sog1, PPP+1. +/- adds/minuses one for F/3 for D. Workhorse starters = GOLD!

We are a full dynasty keeper BUT we only protect 8 (9 if you miss playoffs)- which means that you can lose ONE player outside that range each year to the steal round.

A bit of a wait and see - first year in the NCAA - see how he does in his second year. He outscored Faber in his first year (stacked team)

If Dobber has his upside at 53 points - that's the range Carlson Heiskanen Weeger landed at last season.
