I'm low-key excited to start the year. The break between the end of fantasy hockey and the start of fantasy football feels sometimes too long. Thank God it's at least during the summer!

Ya I kind of wish Football started earlier so I would get the joys of playing during summer and then it would end sooner to make room for hockey lol

I'm I'm bit old school. I always figure it's easier to pick up decent WRs off the waiver wire as opposed to decent RBs, so I generally go with RBs early.

My other plan is to "reach" for the best players at other positions early. So I'd rather take a top-three QB or a top DEF while others are grabbing their third or fourth WR. I also try to pick up great bench options for QB/DEF so I have solid choices in a weekly matchup. This is how I ended up with both Dallas and Baltimore defenses.

Yahoo gave me an A+ for my drafting, but I had the exact same rating last year, and missed the playoffs. Well see if it's more accurate this year.

Team Name Tuesday.

This is the year I am naming all my fantasy teams in honour of Toby Keith.

Toby Keith is one of the best all-time country musicians.
And he is a true 'red, white and blue blood- Graduate of honky-tonk U'

He is a very proud American and has many songs that show this.

One year I saw Toby Keith live on Canada Day.
You could just tell how genuine of a artist he was.
You could feel how much he loved to be an American.

Then when he was singing his last song he brought out a Guitar with USA flag on one side...
He played the first part of the song, then turned it around and it was a Canadian flag on the other side.
He finished the song with Canadian as the lyrics and the Canadian Flag on his guitar.
Such a great moment.

And guess what - I drafted Alvin Kamara whose name fits perfectly into America.

So I have been debating since draft night on which song.

On draft night I narrowed it down to these three:

Made in America
American Ride
American Soldier

All three great songs... and American Ride is probably the most catchy song of the three - but I eliminated it first.
The other two songs just exemplify Toby Keith better.

After much internal debate and reading through the lyrics,

I decided that the song what would best honour TK is Made In America...

So that is my team name for the year.

Made in Kamara-ca

And my logo will be Toby Keith with the American Flag guitar that I mentioned above.

RIP TK RIP.

Scored the third lowest point total in the league this week... luckily I face the team with the second lowest point total. I need to keep that in mind when I eventually lose a week with 130+ points... It always evens itself out

Ooof, benched the Buffalo DEF last night figuring it would be a shootout and going up against the Tyreek Hill owner so I didn't want to get double burnt.

Buffalo DEF puts up 18 points!!

After starting 4-0 with the most points for, they are now 4-7 and soon to be 4-8 up against a team that just scored 173.18 points...

Oof, rough start with Jennings/Kittle only putting up 12.2 points combined and all three of my RBs (Jones, Pollard, Hall) questionable for Sunday. Especially after my team put up 140.12 in a meaningless matchup last week.
