News: #stlblues announce defenseman Torey Krug has been diagnosed with pre-arthritic issues in his ankle. He’s hoping for non-surgical intervention, but currently out indefinitely, and if surgery is required he will miss the entire season.

Well, I'm not sure what the actual medical issue actually is, but it sure doesn't sound so good for Krug or the Blues. If he does miss the season who gets the prime deployment? An interesting and unfinished story to follow for poolies.

its a nagging condition, i got one in the left wrist...im much older but had it for about 5 years and there is no rhyme or reason to when it flares up or when its ok. If its anything like mine im going to say he either plays through pain or retires...

As far as i know you cant make it worst by playing, in fact exercise helps so maybe he is just done...

Could be FAULK, but surely this has to benefit Perunovich.

Perunovich is a possibility, as someone mentioned above, but I still think it will be Faulk. Perunovich is 26 years old already (that shocked me) and has only played 73 NHL games. At this point, I'm starting to think that he isn't cut out to be an NHL player. It didn't help my confidence that the team only signed him to a one-year deal.

my bad...I see now what Daydream meant. I thought he thought Barrie was with St. Louis, and one of the cap sites (I think it's Spotrac) still lists Barrie with Nashville. I miss capfriendly.

Ya weird that Spotrac has him under contract with Nashville for the 2024-25 season.

    Huge loss for St. Louis.

I wonder if this has been an issue dating back to his days in Boston.

He always seems to miss a decent amount of games during a season.

Faulk as default. Perunovich will see some action but unless they go out and get somebody (Barrie! Barrie!) then it's Faulk.
