This is a tough one but I’m going to buch and Scheifele. Pretty close but I’d lean toward buch with 6 years left (assuming you can’t just dump guys) first and then Scheifele after him
Maybe some off season I won't have cap grief and be forced to make some hard decisions but once again it's not this year. (:
I'll need to drop at least one of these guys, possibly two, hopefully just one, but we'll see. Of the players listed which two contracts do you consider to be of the least value? League scoring cats are in my sig, its multi cat not pts only, and, I am looking at this in the near term, contending not building. Ignore my roster, it is woefully out of date.

I think, from a multi-cat perspective, DeBrincat is definitely the worst. Buch seems like an decent second choice.
Yeah, that DeBrincat contract is the worst IMO. Followed by Buch.

Thanks for the input so far. I honestly don't think any of these contracts are really bad but at the same time I don't think any of them are exceptionally good either. My initial thoughts, which many have confirmed, were that Buchnevich's new contract pushed the limit on acceptability. I was also inclined to think the Scheifele contract was not going to age particularly well which a lot of you also shared. I am a bit surprised at folks not particularly liking The Cats contract. Last year was not a great year for him but if you look at his numbers across most of my scoring cats for the previous two years, he brought pretty good value. Now I'm wondering if last year is indicative of the next few in which case, ya, his value is a potential concern??

Scheifele and Debrincat would be my top two choices.
Here are the current number of votes for my worst contract:
Buchnevich - 6
Debrincat - 6
Scheifele - 6
A dead heat for these three. Anyone else want to jump in and break the tie (:

My take on the term for Buch is that at his age and with the term it's not a downside, because with the cap going up so quickly those longer deals are going to be bargains by the end even if the players are older. Like Brad Marchand right now as an example. It was expensive when he signed, but the cap going up early and now again, it's still decent value as his production slows a little in his mid-30s.
