Default Drafting 7th: Catton, Parehk, Eiserman?

Hey all, this is for my team in sig.

I’m drafting 7th and I’m pretty confident one or 2 of the 3 of Catton, Parekh and Eiserman will be available.

Who would you grab here in order?

I’ve been high on Eiserman for a year now and I’m trying to gauge the correlation between his stock falling and his perceived fantasy production. As for the other 2, I was thinking I’d be drafting around 10-12th so I wasn’t even considering them until a few weeks ago…

Any feedback is welcomed, will rep where I can; Thanks!

Buium?? I slightly prefer him over Parekh but may be he will not be there at 7th pick.
If he is not available, I would choose Parekh too

    Buium will be there…

I’m just torn with the ceiling I’m seeing in Catton… I do think Parekh is as close as it comes to a star forward on D for fantasy points though. Then there’s Eiserman who I know will not be there in the 2nd round… and I hadn’t even really considered Buium but ya he’s up there too… oh man lol

Honestly you can’t go wrong with any of the players mentionned at this stage.
If I were you I would pick Buium and avoid Eiseman but who really know…

    Buium/Parehk/Iginla

I'd slide Levshunov in front of Iginla if he's there. Eiserman is not in this tier of players.

Between Buium and Parekh i’m taking Parekh. He’s the guy with the Karlsson-like potential and will have the reins for many years on that Flames squad. Buium is awesome and will put up points, maybe even big points, but i think you go for the home run 80-pt dman potential in Parekh.

Hmmm so it’s between Parekh and Iginla at this point…

I think it’s harder to land a ppg D over a ppg F but I’m curious how much multi-cat Iginla can bring to the table at the next level.

It's interesting how different players rank everyone. We have similar stats in my league and here is our top 10:

    1 Seattle Macklin Celebrini (SJ / F)
    2 Toronto Ivan Demidov (MON - W)
    3 Toronto Zeev Buium (MIN / D)
    4 Toronto Zayne Parekh (CGY / D)
    5 Washington Cayden Lindstrom (CBJ / F)
6 San Jose Berkly Catton (SEA / F)
    7 Detroit Artyom Levshunov (CHI / D)
8 San Jose Cole Eiserman (NYI / W)
    9 Winnipeg Sam Dickinson (SJ / D)
10 Los Angeles Tij Iginla (UTA / F)

So pre-draft I actually had Lesh and Buim above Parekh due to his volatility- but I think Calgary drafting him galvanized his value. Hes their new golden boy and they'll do everything they can to make sure he hits his upside. He's also got Weegar as his only roadblock to pp1 which should be an easy ascension by the time hes ready (Weegs no slouch but he'll be older by then and would do just fine as a second unit guy).

I'm also a big Buium supporter but theres internal competition with Faber and Minny just seems to have no luck (or use) for offensive dmen. Not that Buium is strictly an offensive type but at his size he'll need to maximize those contributions to provide full value.

I like Eiserman as well- for fantasy him and Tij are likely close- its a coin flip for me and both guys are behind the D. I think realistically Tij is more the safe bet there with decent upside to go along with it but Eiserman is the wildcard who COULD get to 40+ goals someday. If you NEED 5o add value in every draft and youre going forward its Iginla for me but if you can afford to gamble its hard to pass on Cole....

Offensive D are sooooo hard to find and Parekh in Calgary is way out ahead for me personally...
    Weekly hth league- 2c, 3w,1 ff (forward only flex), 4d, 1g, and one true flex. Sog/goal weighted for skaters: G4, A3, Sog1, PPP+1. +/- adds/minuses one for F/3 for D. Workhorse starters = GOLD!

We are a full dynasty keeper BUT we only protect 8 (9 if you miss playoffs)- which means that you can lose ONE player outside that range each year to the steal round.
C- Hughes(J), Crosby, McMichael, Buchnevich (C/W), Carlsson (Frm), Wright (Frm)
W- Marchand, Lafreniere, Zetterlund, Michkov, Stankoven, Slafzilla, Tolvanen
D- Werenski, Clarke, Carlsson, Orlov, Hughes (L)
G- Swayman, Sorokin, Kuemper, Fedotov, Nabokov (Frm)

i just get bad vibes re Parekh..kinda like Josh HoSang vibes. i dunno why. i think hes too one dimensional for a dman in the NHL, and hes not going to be able to produce anywhere near his Jr stats.
