Trouba's wife is doing her residency in NY (she's becoming a doctor). I doubt he waives anything until they sort out that.
They have a young family too I think. It's a lot to navigate. And the way he pushed to go to NY, I don't think he's getting run out of town easily.

This is true. But I was ok with it for the rumored salary that NYR was going to eat. Trouba at $5.5 for 2 more years? Sounds good to me.

Im surprised Trouba wields such a hammer when he only has a 15-team NTC and not a no move clause (according to CapFriendly). I had previously assumed all the canadian teams would be on his list but perhaps him and his agent were able to strategically pick teams based on cap space (or lack thereof) instead.
Putting your hometown Detroit Red Wings on the list though? Wow.
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.
