Dodgers reporters are now saying the Jays are getting Ohtani. MLB Trade Rumours published an article on Jays getting Ohtani.

However

BNS, Bob Nightengale, Passan, Gonzalez are all squashing the rumour of "he hasn't made his decision yet".

0 facts or evidence behind this, but I think a Dodgers reporter found out Ohtani isn't signing with the Jays and made an educated assumption he's going to the Jays. He reported that he's going to the Jays. But because nothing is official, all the reporters are squashing it because they want to break the news, and Ohtani's camp or Rogers wants to be involved in the announcement.

I'm on the 90% he's a Blue Jay. The 10% is there because of what happened with Correa.

My boss just came in and his son who is way more active on social media just said that Yusei Kikuchi just booked a reservation for 50 people in Toronro.

Lets say Ohtani signs with the Jays. Where does that lead them for 3B, and 2B, and LF, and Vladdy and Bo long term?

If they are willing to spend $500-$600M for ONE PLAYER, why arent they spending that money on lots of players to fill and upgrade their other positional places they need help.

I'd love to get Ohtani, more so to shut up American baseball fans who think Toronto is a joke in baseball, but I also think that money could be better spent.

3B- short term FA bridge to Olveris (?)
2B - Biggio/Espinal
LF/CF - Huge hole right now. I expect a FA or trade. Maybe they are still in on Soler and his market isn't huge. Maybe a vet late signing like KK

Vladdy/Bo- They must know their long term intentions, but I feel like Bo isn't here in 3yrs as they can't afford the 3.

Still the potential for a big trade on the table too I would think. Needed to get Ohtani in the fold first, then get to work on the rest.
