    Default Draft Advice

League is 3 keepers for a maximum of 4 years per player.
Current keepers are Kuch, Rantanen and Petey.
    I have the 2nd, 5th, 14th, 17th, 26th, 29th and 38th picks.
Should be lots of talent in those first four rounds. Guy who has first pick said to me that he is most likely going Vasi first overall. Would you guys take Bedard in a keep 3 in his first season or do I go after the tried and true players for my cats?

    Thanks ya'll.

    Oh... good question.
This is a long game decision.

    I would
Whoever does take him is unlikely to ever let him go.
    It'll be now or never.

Just find the video of his backhand breakout pass to Taylor Hall in scrimmage. or his prospect tourny top corner pick.
Especially where you have a couple other early picks...

Damn, what a decision. I think I'd pass on Bedard at #2. Your keepers are already dynamite and you don't get Bedard for his career, you get him for 4 years, and some of those might be the worst of his career. I know some are bullish on his immediate impact. I am not relative to the field.

I'd be curious what other talent is available, but my lean is to go for proven stuff.

Yeah, that's a ton of established talent available there. You can set yourself up huge with your keepers and picks if you go for the win-now picks instead of Bedard.

Stamkos, Crosby and Dahlin jump out huge to me. I presume there are some good goalies available too.

Crosby, you're in win now mode.

Considering I'd take Dahlin over Bedard with no hesitation, I wouldn't take Bedard at 2.

If he's there at 5, then it's a reasonable move to bet on crazy upside, but with only 3 keepers, it'd be interesting to see if he crack yours. Somebody would definitely deal for him if he's not doing great, and you need a push for the title.
