I'd lean Kucherov. Makar is great too. Hard to mess this one up.
Points only league with power play points double. Start 10 forwards and 4 defensemen. I think I’ll have the choice between Kucherov and Makar thoughts. Assuming both are healthy, who would you take? Also anyone have any insight into Makar’s injury?
I'd lean Kucherov. Makar is great too. Hard to mess this one up.
Start 4 D and Makar is one of them, yes please!!

Makar for me. If he plays 82 games, I could really see him pushing 90+ points. It is really hard to get that kind of production from one of your defenseman spots.

Both are studs when healthy and both have shown a tendency to get hurt. Makar could get you 90ish and Kucherov could get your 110ish.
I'd lean Makar just because it's harder to get that type of production from the point but as mentioned earlier, both are excellent choices, again, when healthy.

Because this is points and PPPx2 and it's forwards and defense rather than C/LW/RW, I'd lean Makar.
Expect Makar to miss (probably 10 or so games) time to minor injuries. Kucherov has had problems with major injuries but I think he'll play 78 to 82 games unless he gets hurt bad again. Assuming 82 games each, sure, Kucherov will probably score more points than Makar but you'll find far more great forwards than defensemen.

Makar for me. I think Tampa is entering a period of decline, hurting all its players, even someone as amazing as Kucherov.

Is this a 1-year league, limited keeper, or dynasty league?
I lean Makar in a 1-year league, but easily prefer Makar in a dynasty league.
i like Makar as well, few more elite Forwards than there are Ds.

Makar because his perceived value is higher in the fantasy GM community. Kucherov isn't as likeable so in a possible trade midseason for you, I think it would be better to have Makar than Kucherov.
Both are producing to the same value potential from their positions. It's a coin toss.
