Kaep said he wants a shot with the Jets lol. He's only 35yrs old and hasn't played in 7yrs, and went 1-10 in his final yr.
He famously went vegan in 2015, and as a vegan his record was 3-16. I don't know why I find that funny lol.

Not a lot of realistic options out there, and some of the names being bandied about are surprising to me.
Zach Wilson has a lengthy list of shortcomings. But Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan? I'd MUCH rather have Wilson than either of those two at this point. Those guys are cooked. Cannot throw a football nearly as well as they used to, and their decision making and ball security were shoddy at best when we last saw them.
Brady, sure. But that's a huge stretch I'd think.
Mike White, Minshew -- again, I'm not sure they're THAT much better than Wilson (if at all). And you won't get them for free, so not sure it's worth it.
Best bet if they want to expend some assets might be trying to swing a trade for someone like Matt Stafford (the Week 1 win notwithstanding, the Rams are not a serious competitor this season). Lots of potential downside there too though with the elbow. But I think that's probably the best that can possibly be done if the Jets want to expend some assets on an upgrade to Zach Wilson.
All in all, I'd be pretty surprised if it wasn't Wilson under center for the rest of the season.

I saw a report they've inquired on Chad Henne from the Chiefs to backup Wilson.
I'd take Minshew in a heartbeat. I think he'd be a good fit in that system.

The Titans could end up starting 0-4, maybe Tannehill is an actual option in a week or two.
I don't know how you can acquire a QB at a deadline though and get them up to speed properly.

Did anyone take note how Arizona's QB adjusted in week one?
Wasn't he claimed off waivers the week before the season started?
But yes, I can imagine the transition is hard
But I like your thought process for the Jets to add Tannehill.... especially as a Wilson owner!

But it turns into a 2024 2nd round pick. And if they don't get a QB, that 2nd round pick could be a very high 2nd.
So do you trade the 1st to push the 2nd down? Or do you just accept the 1st, hope to scratch out enough wins with Wilson to see if it's worth revisiting in the offseason a new QB. 2024 Draft Class has a VERY good QB group.

Sure, but they also got off of a ton of money for a guy they didn't want and they still get a 2nd rounder, which may land pretty high in the round if the Jets insist on rolling out Zach Wilson for 16 more games. It was always pretty unreasonable that they were asking for as much as they were for a player they didn't even want any more.
