Bottom six forward... who might 'have' to be the #1 centre this year for the Flyers.
If Couturier is not back or not as good as he used to... the team might not have a #1 centre
Bridge deal.

Morgan Frost, signed 2x$2.1M by PHI, is a bottom six two-way centre. Gets involved in the net-front but still hasn't been able to make a big impact yet. #FueledByPhilly

Took Frost a while to find his way as a pro, and also took him a bit to find his way into Tortorella's good graces. By December last year he was a top-6 fixture skating 16+ minutes a night and from that point on his scored 41 points in 59 games. It's a decent profile.
I find it interesting that the Flyers went for a bridge here. I suppose they didn't really have the cap room to go for a real long term deal, but you'd think with where they are at in their rebuild they'd want to be getting guys locked up long term so they are cheap by the time they are competitive.
I'd have expected a higher price tag for this few years. Good deal for Flyers and Frost cap owners, as on a Torts team I see Couturier positioned in more of a two way role, freeing Frost and Tippett, who had great chemistry and are both hitting their breakout thresholds, to thrive offensively.

In my post, I shared that he's a bottom six center. I got that from jfresh on twitter. Click on the tweet I shared here and it gives the stats as to why he feels that way. He's a bit of an analytics freak on twitter.
And yes, Frost had a solid 2nd half but the info on that card is based on his entire season last year. If he can put together a full season like he played in the 2nd half, his card will look much better.

This wasn't me saying that... it was just from the tweet.
And me pointing out that he will likely be a Top 6 forward by default.
Whether or not his talent is top 6 talent on other teams is not my debate.
Its that he is definitely a top 6 forward on the Flyers and likely the #1C for the Flyers

Gotcha - thanks for the clarification. I'm a JFresh fan and am pretty optimistic in Frost's progression.

Couturier is the #1C until he shows he can't handle it. If he's close to 100%, he's it.
I think Frost is more of a middle six center, as he doesn't fit the 4th line prototype we generally see, and he seems to be better than a 4th liner. I don't use Twitter at all, so take what I think a grain of salt. I do think he's in the top 6 for the Flyers as the #2C as of right now, unless they like Laughton there, and use Frost on the wing or as a the #3 C. I think Laughton on the wing may make more sense as he's ben that much of his career, and they need to figure out how Frost fits as a center.
