Franco was removed during the 5th inning of August 13th game that he had his "scheduled" day off. He's alleged to have a sexual relationship with a 14yr old but it's coming from Dominican Sources so there's a lot of red flags that come up when it is coming from DR. Between false reports and lost-in-translation, it's a weird set of waters to navigate. And now it's rumoured that the Attorney General of the DR says that there is a complaint filed by a minor against Wander Franco that is not the one that originally came out.

Tampa placed Wander on the restricted list, which means he's not getting paid and typically leads to a suspension.

A person very close to the Wander Franco investigation claims it's "very unlikely" that Franco will ever play in the MLB again, per Hector Gomez. Gomez goes on to say his source is the same source that told him about Franco's 11yr, $182m contract before it broke mainstream sources.

MLB announced yesterday that Wander Franco will be placed on administrative leave (formally on restricted list)

Per an agreement between MLB and MLBPA, Wander Franco has been placed on Administrative Leave until further notice as MLB continues its ongoing investigation. The administrative leave, effective immediately, is not disciplinary under the Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy. We will comment further at the appropriate time

He will continue to get paid and accrue service time.

Apparently all the pictures and displays in the Tampa ballpark featuring Franco are being taken down. Not a good sign.

The instagram girl, it's rumoured that she is 14yrs old, and she told Franco she was 18yrs old. The girls mother was aware of what was happening, and was ok with it. Once they got into the relationship enough, they started extorting him for money and cars. Once he said no and left them, they came forward online.

Howeverrrrr the second girl who went to the DR police about a relationship with Franco...makes the first relationship look like Franco knew what was happening and was ok with it.

If Trevor Bauer wasn't touched with a 10ft pole by MLB teams, I doubt Franco will even if proven innocent as I would think Franco's allegations are much worse than Bauer's in the eyes of most people. However, Bauer was a dick and that might have been a reason for teams to also not take the chance on him.

I'm pretty sure this is also a dialed back charge what he could have gotten with like human trafficking, money laundry, and likely other stuff not being pursued.

Well, human trafficking is apparently now part of his official charges. There was an update about 10minutes ago. News from the DR comes in pieces especially with the translation that needs to happen to english.

Money Laundering was involved in it a yr ago. The money laundering charge stems from allegations that Franco made payments to the minor's mother, but those charges were dropped in January. Prolly something around proceeds of crime, not being taxed, I dunno.

It's the equivalent of like Malkin getting charged with this stuff like 1yr into his NHL career after signing an 11yr deal. Franco was a budding star with potential to be the MVP if Ohtani wasn't in the same league (and now Judge just dominating).
