Why don't we skip this and start with 3 clues? Feels kinda pointless to start with the entire north american universe of retired forwards.

I can understand where you're coming from, but it's sometimes fun to use the guesses to form the second clue, and so on, like what I did with Kisio. It was also made very clear based on some back and forth not too long ago that clues which are less narrowing the better, as the thinking is they encourage more engagement within the thread.
